Recovery Support After Treatment
Through regular check-ins, recovery meetings, events, peer mentoring, and so much more, Crossroads’ alumni community helps you remain engaged in recovery long after treatment ends.

In 2023, Arizona experienced 53,967 opioid related hospitalizations, emphasizing the need for recovery support to extend beyond initial treatment.
Crossroads isn’t just a treatment facility; every location serves as an artery in the beating heart of the recovery community. Crossroads is deeply ingrained in every aspect of recovery, from the beginning of treatment to ongoing and sustainable alumni support.
Staying Connected After Discharge
Crossroads has been a trusted part of the recovery community for decades, and we continue to maintain strong connections across local 12-step recovery communities. Clients are encouraged to stay connected, attend meetings, volunteer, mentor others, and continue building relationships that support ongoing recovery.
Rather than viewing alumni as former clients, we see them as lifelong members of our recovery family.

Meetings, Events, and Community Support
Crossroads has strong roots in the 12-step recovery community. With open 12-step meetings held directly on campus, residents have frequent and consistent access to peer recovery support throughout the week. Three meetings per day are hosted on each campus, with more than 200 meetings occurring each week across all locations.
Because of the structure of Crossroads’ alumni community, support is not limited to standalone events. Instead, alumni engagement is ongoing and built into the day-to-day recovery environment. Many alumni continue to attend the same on-campus meetings, which are regularly hosted in Crossroads facilities. These meetings are both staff and peer-driven, reflecting the program’s strong alumni presence within the recovery community.

Digital Tools and Alumni Communication
Alumni are offered the opportunity to opt in to using the Pathfinder app after treatment ends, and they can use it for as long as they wish. Pathfinder provides you with a convenient way to stay engaged in recovery by connecting with others who are on similar journeys.
The platform also allows you to remain connected with Crossroads. Staff can view engagement in the app and, when appropriate, respond to messages or communicate directly with clients through the platform. Former clients are always welcome to initiate contact with staff and peers if they have any questions, need encouragement, or need help connecting with recovery resources.
This ongoing digital connection helps extend treatment support after discharge while encouraging clients to remain engaged in their community.
Ongoing Guidance and Real-Life Recovery Support
Peer mentoring is an important part of our alumni program. Alumni can connect with others who have successfully navigated early recovery, offering engagement, accountability, and hope from shared experiences.
What Makes the Alumni Program at Crossroads Different?
One of Crossroads’ greatest strengths is that recovery is woven into every level of our organization. About 85% of our staff are alumni or individuals in recovery themselves, creating an environment where clients are surrounded by people who genuinely understand the challenges and rewards of sustainable recovery.
At Crossroads, the alumni program isn’t something that clients join after treatment; it’s part of the culture from the moment they arrive. When you hear “Welcome home,” it reflects the fact that you will always be a part of the Crossroads community.
Whether celebrating milestones, navigating challenges, or finding encouragement, alumni always know they have a community they can rely on.

A Recovery Community That Supports Recovery – for Life
Recovery isn’t defined by the day you start treatment; it’s shaped by the support, relationships, and healthy routines you build afterward. At Crossroads, discharge isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of a lifelong membership in a recovery community that is dedicated to helping you thrive.
